So we had tried to potty train Ammon a LONG time ago and it didnt work at all... So we have been thinking about doing it pretty soon. Hes getting so big and hes in size 6 diapers now! They dont go any bigger, so hes gotta be potty trianed before he grows out of that. Anyways, the other night we were at a friends house and his little girl who is 3 had gone to the bathroom and he opened the door (to her horror) and saw her sitting on the toilet, and something clicked inside him cause after she had gone potty he asked for the potty and went into the bathroom, took off his pants, then his diaper and got on the toilet and peed! We were so shocked! We couldnt believe it. So we decided to try to encourage him to go on the potty. Well mornings arent good for him, yesterday when we woke him up we tried to get him excited about going potty and he just cried and said NO, NO POTTY! so we let it go until he was feeling better (He was sick too, poor guy) Last night when we got home from Temple square and we noticed he was squatting (and he was squatting hard) so we asked him if he wanted to go poo poo on the potty and he perked up and ran to the bathroom and jumped up on the toilet. We got him to sit there for a while, but we could tell he wasnt relaxed enough to let himself poop on the toilet. HE was very constipated, he was crying a bit too, but trying to be tough, it was easier for him to squat on the floor to try to get it out, but after trying for a while to get him to go potty, we were about to give up and give him a diaper (cause it would be easier for him to get the poop out and put him out of pain) While daddy was getting a diaper, Ammon jumped back on the toilet and relaxed a little bit and TWO HUGE LOGS (sorry if thats TMI) came out, It must have been huge for his tiny little bottom! But he was SO proud of himself. We gave him TONS OF PRAISE and he just thought he was the coolest thing in the world. Anyways, we are gonna try to get on top of this and see if we can have him out of diapers before the new baby comes. Its a stretch, but we can hope! lol Were just glad he is showing some interest in the potty.

One thing that has been good for us is the "Little People" lift-the-flap books to look at when they have to poop. And is he's into Elmo, Aisley loves "Elmo's Potty Time." Best of luck to you! We still have a long way to go, but we too are making progress!
Yeah for Ammo! Dropped the kids off at the pool!
