Church statement about the HBO Show

Here is what the church had to say about it today. (Thanks Tiffany) The thing that really fires me up, is that HBO writers told the church over 2 years ago when the show was going on the air, that it wasnt about mormons, YET they CLEARLY make it obvious in the TV guide article (when stating they found an ex-mormon to help out with costumes and the ordinances) that it is about the LDS church. I just feel like we are being violated to have something so sacred to be shown on TV and there is nothing we can do about it, cause if we do cause a fuss, its the attention that the network is looking for. I'm just trying to to think about it now. They might be "getting away" with it now, but ultimately they cant TRICK Heavenly Father. lol. I do have pity for the "ex-mormon" who "helped them with the smallest details to make it accurate" especially if that was a member who had a testimony in the past and understood the severity of their actions and did it deliberatly. Anyways, the church has been put through some bad stuff before and we are still growing strong!
